Harshad Mehta Scam Free Essays

string(95) must perceive that as long as the trick endured, the banks profited by such an arrangement. Harshad Mehta trick: Harshad Mehtaâ was an Indian stockbroker and is asserted to have designed the ascent in the BSE stock trade in the year 1992. Misusing a few provisos in the financial framework, Harshad and his partners redirected assets from between bank exchanges and purchased shares vigorously including some hidden costs across numerous sections, setting off an ascent in the Sensex. At the point when the plan was uncovered, the banks began requesting the cash back, causing the breakdown. We will compose a custom exposition test on Harshad Mehta Scam or then again any comparable point just for you Request Now He was later accused of 72 criminal offenses and in excess of 600 common activity suits were recorded against him. He kicked the bucket in 2002 with numerous cases as yet pending against him. 3. 1 Ready Forward Deal (RF): †¢ The significant system through which the trick was affected was the Ready Forward arrangement. †¢ The Ready Forward Deal (RF) is basically a made sure about present moment (normally multi day) advance starting with one bank then onto the next bank. The loaning is done against Government Securities precisely the manner in which a pawnbroker loans against adornments. †¢ In reality one can say that the acquiring bank really offers the protections to the loaning bank and repurchases them toward the finish of the time of the credit at (commonly) a somewhat more significant expense. It was this RF bargain that Harshad Mehta and his partners utilized with extraordinary accomplishment to channel cash from banking framework. 3. 2 The Mechanics of the Scam: As clarified over, a prepared forward arrangement is, in substance, a tied down advance starting with one bank then onto the next. To make the trick conceivable , the RF needed to experience a total change. At the end of the day it basically needed to turn into an unbound advance to facilitate. This was magnificently designed by the specialists. To give a superior comprehension of the component, the entire procedure has been isolated into 3 unique parts. . The settlement procedure 2. Installment checks 3. Administering the security 1. The settlement Process: ? The ordinary settlement process in government protections is that the executing banks make installments and convey the protections straightforwardly to one another. ? During the trick, be that as it may, the banks or possibly a few banks embraced an elective settlement process which was like the procedure utilized for settling exchanges in the securities exchange. ? In this settlement procedure, conveyances of protections and installments are made through the dealer. That is, the dealer hands over the protections to the intermediary who gives them to the purchaser, while the purchaser gives the check to the specialist who at that point makes the installment to the vender. ? In this settlement procedure, the purchaser and the dealer may not know whom they have exchanged with, both being known distinctly to the merchant. ? There were two significant reasons why the merchant intermediated settlement started to be utilized in the administration protections markets. ? The dealers rather than only uniting purchasers and venders began taking situations in the market. As such, they began exchanging for their own, and one might say became showcase creators in certain protections in this way giving more prominent liquidity to the business sectors. ? At the point when a bank needed to cover the way that it was doing a RF bargain, the dealer proved to be useful. The representative gave contract notes to this reason with invented counter gatherings, yet orchestrated the real settlement to occur with the right counter gathering. 2. Installment Checks: ? A merchant intermediated settlement permitted the agent to lay his hands on the check as it moved between different banks through him. The obstacle currently was to discover a method of attributing the check to his record however it was attracted favor of a bank and was crossed record payee. ? As it occurs, it is simply a matter of banking custom that a record payee check is paid uniquely to the payee referenced on the check. Truth be told, special cases were being made to this standard, a long time before the trick became visible. ? Special (corporate) clients were routinely permitted to credit account payee checks for a bank into their own records to abstain from clearing delays, consequently diminishing the premium lost on the sum. Typically, if a client gets a check in his own kindness and stores it into his own record, it might take a day or two for the check to be cleared and for the assets to open up to the client. At 15% intrigue, the intrigue misfortune on a freeing delay from two days for a Rs. 100 crores check is about Rs. 8 lakhs. ? Then again, when banks make installments to one another by composing kee ps an eye for them with the RBI, these checks are cleared around the same time. ? The training which in this way developed was that a client would acquire a check drawn on the RBI preferring not himself but rather his bank. The bank would get the cash and credit his record that day. ? This was the training which the representatives in the currency showcase misused to their advantage. 3. Administering the security: ? The intermediaries consequently found a method of getting hold of the checks as they moved between various banks and attributing the sums to their records. This successfully changed a RF into an advance to a specialist as opposed to a bank. ? However, this, without anyone else, would not have prompted the trick in light of the fact that the RF after everything is a made sure about credit, and a tied down advance to a dealer is still made sure about. What was essential presently was to discover a method of killing the security itself! There are three courses received for this reason: 1. A few banks (or rather their authorities) were convinced to leave behind checks without really getting protections consequently. A straightforward clarification of this is the authorities concerned were paid o ff and additionally careless. A progressively captivating chance is that the banks’ senior/top administration knew about this and turned a Nelson’s eye to it to profit by better yields the dealers could offer by redirecting the assets to the financial exchange. One must perceive that as long as the trick kept going, the banks profited by such a course of action. You read Harshad Mehta Scam in class Papers The administration of banks may have been woefully enticed to receive this course to higher productivity. 2. The subsequent course was to supplant the real protections by a useless bit of paper †a phony Bank Receipt (BR). This is talked about in more noteworthy detail in the following area. 3. The third strategy was essentially to produce the protections themselves. Much of the time, PSU bonds were spoken to just by designation letters as opposed to endorsements on security paper. What's more, it is simpler to manufacture a portion letter for Rs. 100 crores worth of protections than it is to produce a 100 rupee note! Inside and out fabrication of this sort anyway represented just an exceptionally little piece of the complete subsidizes misused 3. Bank Receipt: ? In a RF bargain, as we have talked about it up until now, the acquiring bank conveys the real protections to the moneylender and takes them back on reimbursement of the credit. By and by, in any case, this isn't typically done. Rather, the borrower gives a Bank Receipt (BR) which serves three capacities: ? The BR affirms the offer of protections. ? It goes about as a receipt for the cash got by the selling bank. Consequently the name †bank receipt. ? It vows to convey the protections to the purchaser. It additionally expresses that meanwhile the vender holds the protections in trust for the purchaser. ? So, a BR is something like an IOU (I owe you protections! ), and the utilization of the BR true proselytes a RF bargain into an unbound credit. The loaning bank no longer has the protections; it has just the borrower’s confirmation that the borrower has the protections which can/will be conveyed if/when the need emerges. BRs gave without Backing of Securities: ? As expressed before, a BR should infer that the guarantor really has the protections and holds them in trust for the purchaser. In any case, in all actuality the backer might not have the protections by any stretch of the imagination. ? There are two reasons why a bank may give a BR, which isn't sponsored by real protections: 1. A bank may short sell protections, that is, it sells protections it doesn't have. This would be done if the bank imagines that the costs of these protections would diminish. Since this would be a through and through deal (not a RF! ), the bank gives a BR. At the point when the protections do fall in esteem, the bank gets them at lower costs and releases the BR by conveying the protections sold. Short selling in some structure is a vital piece of most security advertises on the planet. It very well may be contended that some measure of shortselling subject somewhat of guideline is an alluring component of a security advertise. As we would like to think, an altogether deal utilizing a BR, which isn't supported by protections, isn't unsafe in essence however it disregards the RBI rules. 2. The subsequent explanation is that the bank may essentially need an unbound advance. It might then do a RF bargain giving a â€Å"fake† BR which is a BR with no protections to back them. The loaning bank would be under a mixed up impression that it is making a made sure about credit when it is really propelling an unbound advance. Clearly, moneylenders ought to have taken measures to shield themselves from such a chance During the trick, the merchants consummated the specialty of utilizing counterfeit BRs to acquire unbound advances from the financial framework. They convinced some little and mostly secret banks †the Bank of Karad (BOK) and the Metropolitan Cooperative Bank (MCB) †to give BRs as and when required. These BRs could then be utilized to do RF manages different banks. The checks for BOK were, obviously, credited into the brokers’ accounts. In actuality, a few arge banks made immense unbound credits to the BOK/MCB which thusly brought in the cash accessible to the specialists. 4. Breakdown of the Control framework in trick: ? The trick was made conceivable by a total breakdown of the control framework both inside the business banks just as the control arrangement of the RBI itself. ? We will look at these control

Sulfuric Acid and Sugar Chemistry Demonstration

One of the most spectacular chemistry demonstrations is also one of the simplest. Its the dehydration of sugar (sucrose) with sulfuric acid. Basically, all you do to perform this demonstration is put ordinary table sugar in a glass beaker and stir in some concentrated sulfuric acid (you can dampen the sugar with a small volume of water before adding the sulfuric acid). The sulfuric acid removes water from the sugar in a highly exothermic reaction, releasing heat, steam, and sulfur oxide fumes. Aside from the sulfurous odor, the reaction smells a lot like caramel. The white sugar turns into a black carbonized tube that pushes itself out of the beaker. Chemistry Demonstration Sugar is a carbohydrate, so when you remove the water from the molecule, youre basically left with elemental carbon. The dehydration reaction is a type of elimination reaction. C12H22O11 (sugar) H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) → 12 C (carbon) 11 H2O (water) mixture water and acid Although the sugar is dehydrated, the water isnt lost in the reaction. Some of it remains as a liquid in the acid. Since the reaction is exothermic, much of the water is boiled off as steam. Safety Precautions If you do this demonstration, use proper safety precautions. Whenever you deal with concentrated sulfuric acid, you should wear gloves, eye protection, and a lab coat. Consider the beaker a loss, since scraping burnt sugar and carbon off of it isnt an easy task. Its preferable to perform the demonstration inside of a fume hood.

â€Å"I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.† (Lerone Bennett Jr. pg.125) Being a hero means to be a leader. To be a leader you have to have strength, courage, and commitment. In the 1960s, there were many leaders fighting for what they believe is the right of freedom and equality of all people. A major leader, Martin Luther King Jr. was involved in the Civil Rights Movement during the 60s. King was influenced by advocates of nonviolence such as Mahatma Gandhi. Globalization Is Turning The World Into An Integrated Economy

Globalization which gives us all access to each other s special skills and products is turning the world into an integrated economy. To poorer countries globalization brings the chance to sell their relatively low cost labor onto world markets. It brings the investment that creates jobs, and although those jobs pay less than their counterparts in rich economies, they represent a step up for people in recipient countries because they usually pay more than do the more traditional jobs available there. On the other hand, to people in richer countries globalization brings lower cost goods from abroad, which leaves them with spending power to spare and a higher standard of living. It also brings opportunities for productive investment in†¦show more content†¦The integration of the world economy has brought with it an interdependence. As countries co-operate in trade with each other, they get to know each other and grow into the habit of resolving disputes by negotiation and agreement instead of by armed conflict. Because of international trade, economic achievements of many of the countries are interdependent with other countries. Globalism is supposed to put the interests of the whole world above the interests of individual nations. It is the failed authoritarian in desiring for a single world rejecting the role of nations in encouraging productivity and protecting values. Groups which are globalist and non-Christian religions have campaigned actively for the creation of a world government. Globalism has been made faster due to the involvement of the internet which has made the world a global village and people can do business with the click of a button. Globalization has led to the improvement in the living standards, but has led to the exploitation of poor countries and decay of morals hence a bad thing to go with. According to Keidel (2008), China’s economic growth has continued to rise and is grounded by the domestic strengths of the economics of the country. The economy of this country is solely dependent on its domestic driven economy. Its balanced growth remains independent from the patterns of export trading and the fluctuations of the American economy.

When it comes to schooling, In order to become a Forensic Specialist, several factors come into play. So just because you or someone else you may know, have a 4 year bachelors degree doesn’t always get you the job. Other factors that come into the play of this matter are training programs one may have taken, and or certificates or other degrees that a person may have obtained. The schooling usually only takes 2 years for an associates degree and 4 years for a bachelors. Project Management Plan of Pibara Regional Council

Question: Discuss about theProject Management Plan of Pibara Regional Council. Answer: Introduction Of Project This report is a result of analysis of project plan for affordable housing project by regional council of Pilbara (PRC). PRC covers Project scope, Assumptions, Milestones details, Risk Management, Communication Management, Cost details in the project plan.PRC working for building around 400+ beds affordable housing within the deadline of 18 months. PRC include public and private association to make smooth execution of project. AS a part of the report we will examine project plan established on all components of PMP. A good Project Management plan essentially covers stakeholder management, Schedule and cost management, Risk Management, Communication management and change management. Below are the key areas that should analyzed for Project Management Plan: PMP gives details about the developments, principles, and process required for project. It briefs about how the project will be recognized, measured and secure during and after development. PMP provides the Outlines roles and responsibilities. Identify all stakeholders and contributors of the project, measures and suitable process. (Bjarne 2007) Background of Project Pilbara Regional Council (PRC) starts planning with Blue Zoo that is the firm of Western advisory in Australia in 2010. PRC address the issues of affordable housing in Pilbara. They both work together over 12 months to find various alternative models to resolve the issue of affordable housing. The association of PRC and Blue zoo identified two potential models and they initially discussed with a local investor and global procurement organization. After further investigation and discussion local investor option was selected as most appropriate method. (Young, 2005) Since this time: An appropriate strategy and investment been created. Commercial associates also been sourced. Secured provisional for financing equity and debt for private-sector. The cases for business have been created for the Port Hedland town. The project will now all set to begin with pending endorsement of the Port Hedland town and the land availability, the subject of this business case. (Brown, 2014) Nature of Venture This affordable housing project execution was based on the public-private partnership model. In this model private sector will fund the project for land servicing and construction and undertake to operate under government guidelines for a period of up to 40 years. This investment will be repaid by the rent receipts and NRAS payments. Project Management Plan PRC build a project plan to execute the project. This project plan helps PRC and other associate stakeholders to achieve the goals of project with all risk factors initially identified with the mitigation plan. The project management plan supports the project stakeholders for accepting the project scope in the beginning of project with identified risk that are linked with project at any time during the project execution. (Cattani, 2011) Below are the details that can be collected by the stakeholders from project plan: Serial No Sections 1 Scope of the project 2 Deliverables and project milestones 3 Tasks with details of start and end date 4 Details of Resourcing and cost and time 5 Project risks and their impact 6 Details of cost concerned in the Project 7 Plan of communication Audience of the PMP Audiences of project plan are the stakeholders as in the current scenarios these are as below: Serial No. Stakeholder Accountable to know Cost Cost provider 1 Pilbara Regional Council Yes Yes 2 Town of Port Hedland No No 3 National Australia Bank Yes Yes 4 Blue Zoo Yes No 5 Construction Company(s) Yes No 6 Facilities Manager(s) No No 7 Individual Communities No No 8 Social Services Providers No No Out of these PRC, Blue Zoo and NAB are the key stakeholders. Key stakeholders are the individual or group whose input directly or indirectly impact the project cost or deadline. (Casey, 2010) Structure of the PMP The affordable housing project plan has below structure: Serial Number Sections covered 1 Project summery 2 Scope and evaluation that covers project background, objectives, deliverables, assumptions and stakeholders details 3 Project budget and cash flow 4 Risk Analysis 5 Communication and procurement plan 6 Governance PRC captures maximum critical areas and after analysis it came to now that PRC did not captured change management plan and the communication plan suggested by the PRC did not covers the frequency ,mode of communication with stakeholders required for each type of communication. Following are the areas that PRC did not cover or poorly covered. (Dennis 2007) Serial Number Project management area not covered or poorly covered 1 Project Risk Management is poorly captured as Mitigation plan is not well defined. 2 Project Resource management is not captured 3 Communication plan did not capture frequency, Communication mode and stakeholder associated with that 4 Change Management is not captured 5 Work break down structure is missed The project plan that developed by the PRC captured every critical area except change management, resource management and work breakdown structure. PRC has done good stakeholder identification with the roles clearly defined in the project but communication and risk management poorly defined. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Microsoft Project Work breakdown contains the entire task that to be performed as a project. Most of the people used to maintain these task in Microsoft project or excel after assigning the start and end date with resource and cost information. Stakeholders of the project or project Manger have to just open the Microsoft project file for tracking the status at any period of time. We can identify the critical and dependent tasks with in project tasks. The Microsoft project file will support further the project manager and stakeholders for identifying the over allocated resources and project cost details. With the help of WBS also helps stakeholders to make project execution fast by adding additional resources in case of non dependent tasks that can be run parallel. Microsoft project also help in seeking the project slack and a project manager can use that slack to perform additional task to make project execution smooth and help in completing the project on time. (David 2006) Risk Management It is also observed that PRC build a good Project scope with all assumptions linked to it and on the same time PRC captured risk for the project with mitigation but for a good risk analysis we should not only categorize and assign risk level but also we should have a good mitigation plan with responsible person and make a RACI chart out of it. For example PRC mentioned one risk as Land availability which is a high risk for the project as whole project depends on this,PRC simply mention that land service can be factored into financial model as mitigation steps but the information is not complete as who will do that how this will accomplish if this risk occur then whom to contact what is plan of action. So we can say we should have more detailed risk analysis so that when it actually occurs we ensure the smooth delivery of project. Below are the points which would get covered under risk management: (Elizabeth, 2005) Communication Plan Furthermore Communication plan is also incomplete for example PRC mentioned that they will responsible for any communication between Town of port Hedland and NAB will responsible to communicate with investors, planning authorities, design and construction teams and facilities managers. For a good project plan we should indentify the regular project status meeting between internal teams and at least 1 monthly project review meeting with all stakeholders. We should also mention the mode of communication for these meetings or emails. Change Management Plan Change management plan is a key section for any project to ensure smooth delivery. Everyone knows that there are situations come during the project execution that it is required to make some adjustments or changes to execute the project from predefined tasks. To accommodate these changes we should have a proper change management plan agreed and implemented as a part of project plan. Normally a change management plan consists (Frame, 2003) what change we are going to implement why certain change is required what will the impact on current project status Who is responsible to approve When it will required to incorporate Contents of the Project Management Plan Project Management plan have below section that should have in every project plan Analysis of Content Requirement As a part of analysis of the project it comes to notice that PRC has missed some important details that can be useful to ensuring smooth execution of the project. Following are some key sections that should be consider as a part of project plan. (Joseph, 2003) Plan for the Management of Scope A project scope has a sentence that explains the project objective with assumptions, constraints and Milestones including deliverables. PRC developed the project plan to implement the need of affordable housing. PRC captures the project scope and Milestones of the project. Project Scope helps stakeholders to understand the objectives and requirements. We describe on what basis we formed this project plan under Assumptions and what is the understanding with the requirements. (Kerzner, 2010) Plan for Management of Schedule (Time) Management of the Schedule is a key section that is required for any of the Project plan. It developed with the needs of other sections such as communication and risk requirement, deliverables, cost and resource management. The project schedule would hold of the owner of the project and stakeholders for accomplishing the objectivities of the project within approved cost and an estimated timeframe. This schedule is the outcome of the work breakdown structure that required to be made as a part of project task based on the objectives. (Larson, 2009) Plan for Cost Management The cost management of the project is the process to calculate the cost required to complete the project with each task of project. PRC has total cost estimated as 84M for the project and additional cost of 2500$ will be provided by NAB in case of requirement. Cost management plan covers the flow of cost with total estimated cost and the accountable resource for cost provider. (Levin, 2010) Plan for the Quality Management The Quality Management in the project has the process that is required to ensure that project will induce the needs for which this will get originate. It holds all the actions of entire function management that set up the aims, responsibilities, apparatus and policy quality policy them by means such as system of quality inside the system, assurance and improvement, planning and control over quality. PRC did not include any quality plan and control that is required for smooth delivery. (Lewis, 2006) Plan for Management of Risk To make any project victory it is necessary to analyze and recognize the risk at early stage of project and we should intended mitigation in case of its event. PRC captures the risks identification, impact with its mitigation plan. Risk Management helps every associate of project to address all type of risk for a agreed project with its mitigation plan so that when it really occur we follow the plan and get it resolved without impact on project schedule and cost.PRC covers the risk with its levels and mitigation plan. (Lencioni, 2005) Make Risk administration some portion of your task: The standard of the principal is crucial to get accomplishment of undertaking administration of risk. In the event that you don't really install administration for risk in the task, you can't profit from this methodology. Identify chance prior: The initial phase in task hazard administration is to distinguish the dangers that are available in your venture. This requires a receptive outlook set that spotlights on future situations that may happen. Communicate about Risk: A great methodology is to reliably incorporate danger correspondence in the undertakings you do. On the off chance that you have a group meeting, make venture chances part of the default motivation (and not the last thing on the rundown!). This shows dangers are imperative to the venture administrator and gives colleagues a "characteristic minute" to talk about them and report new ones. (Ireland, 2006) Consider both the Threats and Opportunities: Project dangers have the negative undertone: they are the "awful folks" that can hurt your undertaking. However cutting edge hazard approaches likewise concentrate on positive dangers, the task opportunities. These are some of questionable occasions that valuable to your task and association. These "great folks" make your task speedier, better and more productive. Ownership for clarifying problems: The following stride is to clarify who is in charge of what danger! Somebody needs to feel the warmth if a danger is not dealt with appropriately. The trap is straightforward: allot a danger proprietor for every danger that you have found. The danger proprietor is the individual in your group that has the obligation to improve this danger for the undertaking. The impacts are truly positive. (Marcum, 2008) Significant Risk Risk(s) Persons at risk Likelihood Impact Risk Score Current controls in place Additional controls required to eliminate risk or reduce as far as practicable Estimated completion date Plan for the management of Communication Communications management is the organized planning, implementing and monitoring of all the type of communication within an organization, and between organizations. Good communication plans have at least 1 weekly internal meeting with 1 monthly review with stakeholders. Communication plan also includes the frequency and mode of communication with deliverables of each communication in predefined table format in project plan for example below is the communication sample plan Communication Types Frequency Description of defined Type Mode Deliverable Participants Project status Report Weekly Post meeting an email will sent that contains summary about project status meeting with current update and future action plans Email Status Report of the Project Sponsors of the Project, Project Team members and Project Stakeholders Report review for the Project Monthly (PMR) Monthly This will contain all the condition of the team member and project sponsor and also provide metrics for the present project In-person Status of the Project and Metrics of the current project Sponsors of the Project, Project Team members and Project Stakeholders Plan for the Procurement Management Procurement management of the Project is the processes required to purchase or obtain products, services from outside the project team or vendors required to execute a project. This plan contains preferred vendor list with the items and price with tentative delivery time. Project team can coordinate with the vendors in case of any product that is not available and need to procure. Project team then compare the list of vendors with price and lead delivery time and quality rating of the vendor.PRC did not capture this thing in their project plan and may face issues at a later stage in case of any product or services need to procure or have to pay higher amount to get things on time. (Martin, 2002) Change Management Plan Change management plan is an important section that normally missed by the manager of the project. PRC should have correct process for the change management in the project plan. This document is formal document that address the required modification requested by the stakeholder at any period of time during execution of the project. This plan explains the need of modification with the impact on current status of project and also covers the cost and schedule part of project with set of Approver(s). These plans also have the change requested date and implementation date of required change. (Meredith, 2008) Phase #1: Recognize the needs for any project stakeholder modification: Requestor will near the completed the modification for the demand structure to the venture director Phase #2: Log modification in the register of modification demand by Manager of the Project: The task chief will keep up the log of all modifications demands for length of the defined project Phase #3: Conduct the assessment of the changes which contains Requestor, Team of the Project and Manager of the Project: The venture administrator will direct an evaluation of the consequence of the modification to cost, hazard, scope and schedule. (Paul, 2005) Phase #4: Submit request for change to Board of Change Control Board (CCB) by Manager of the Project: The venture supervisor will near the modification solicitation and examination to the audit for CCB Phase #5: Change Control Board choice (CCB): The examiner for CCB proposed modification and decide whether or not it will be affirmed based on all the information that was submitted Phase #6: Execute modification by the Manager of the Project: On the off chance that the modification is confirmed by the CCB, the task chief will upgrade and re-benchmark documentation of the project as essential and additionally guarantee any of the progressions are conveyed to the partners and group. (Sanghera, 2009) Element name Description of the elements Priority A code that provides a recommended categorization of the urgency of the requested change (High, Medium, Low) Date The date the CR was created CR# Assigned by the Change Manager Title A brief description of the change request Phone Phone number of the submitter Submitter Name of the person completing the CR Form and who can answer questions regarding the suggested change Product The product that the suggested change is for E-Mail Email of the submitter Version The product version that the suggested change is for Description Description of the desired change, the impact, or benefits of a change should also be described Change Request Form (Example) SUBMITTER - GENERAL INFORMATION CR# Submitter Name Brief Description of Request Date Submitted Date Required Priority Low Medium High Mandatory Reason for Change Other Artifacts Impacted Assumptions and Notes Attachments or References Yes No Link: INITIAL ANALYSIS Hour Impact Duration Impact Schedule Impact Comments Recommendations CHANGE CONTROL BOARD - DECISION Decision Approved Approved w/Conditions Rejected More Info Decision Date Decision Explanation Conditions Conclusions As a result of analysis of the project plan offered by PRC we observed that it captured all the necessary areas of project plan management. Project plan document helps us in recognizing the project scope and objectives along with the tasks, associated resource and cost details. PMP guidelines states that the current project plan should focus on communication management along with project schedule, risk management and change management. In PRC project plan project risk are identified correctly but who is responsible to mitigate what steps we need to follow that information is missing. Similarly communication plan does not cover any information that what type of communication should required what frequency and mode of communication. (Schwalbe, 2009) There are numerous project Management forms to achieve the project with own pros and cons connected with this. It is compulsory to choose a correct method as per the type of project, size of project and resources involved .(Paul 2005) Most of the project fails because of weak planning so we should consider every minute details of project during planning phase while creating the project plan. (Stackpole, 2009) Recommendations After analysis of project plan developed by PRC it was acknowledged that if they select Critical chain Project Management then total project length and cost can be save. Following are some recommendations as follows: Change management plan should provide in project plan to accommodate future project modification that may required achieving project goals. Communication Plan should have mode of communication, frequency and deliverable for each type of communication with stakeholder involved in the project plan. (Subramanian, 2015) Risk Register should get prepared in the plan and maintained and updated at regular interval with all type of risk their impact and mitigation plan steps and associated responsible person. Procure management plan should be developed as a part of project plan and help teams in case of any required product or service to be procured at a later stage of project. The Equity Theory Essay Example

The Equity Theory Paper The process theories emphasize on the role of an individuals cognitive processes in determining his or her mode of motivation. One major process theory is The Equity Theory (see Appendix 4), which is based on the simple premise that people want to be treated fairly. According to the theory, people are motivated to reduce feeling of inequity when they occur, just as they are motivated to reduce dissonance. Fairness is a basic value in many cultures, and it is one most people want to see put into practice where they work. For example, consider a young woman who believes that her salary should be much higher than it is simply because she belongs to a specific minority group and that her company wishes to demonstrate that it treats such persons very well. Under these conditions, strong feelings of inequity may arise and add to the discomfort the woman experiences in this situation. As a result, her motivation and commitment to the company may both be reduced. In this particular instance, the motivation here works both ways, for the young woman, and for the company, as it also urges the company to compete for its social standing and recognition. This theory of employee motivation has been promulgated by Vrooms. He suggested that the individuals motivation force in a job could be calculated if the expectancy and valence values are known. He argued that what was crucial to motivation at work was the perception of a link between effort and reward. In workplace, a manager would need to figure out what rewards each employee wants and how valuable those rewards are to each individual, measure the various expectancies, and finally adjust the relationships to create motivation. In other words, the manager will have to attach measurable values to each work that value, they have to work and compete to gain it. In the actual world, money is the critical incentive to work motivation and it is important to employees because it is a medium of exchange. Money will motivate to the extent that it is seen as being able to satisfy an individuals personal goals and is perceived as being dependent upon performance criteria. As equity theory suggests, money has symbolic value in addition to its exchange value, and expectancy theories attest to the value of money as a motivator. In an organization competition occurs when the goals of interacting groups are incompatible and the interactions are important to the attainment of each groups goals (Moorhead, 1992). In the movement of various motivations of individuals, competition is an inevasible fact to people everywhere. In the past, management reward systems have attempted to satisfy an individuals lower level needs for safety and physiological security. As society progresses, nowadays, management reward systems are endeavoring to satisfy also the individuals higher level needs for esteem and self-actualization. Similarly, as people progress on their work, they are constantly faced with different needs, wants, dissatisfaction, and dissonance at different stages, and in order to satisfy their needs and wants, or to overcome their dissatisfaction and dissonance, they will have to compete constantly either with one another or with themselves. Suppose that you ask a large number of individuals what is the most important motivating factor in their work, certainly, you would receive a wide range of replies. Some individuals will consider monetary pay and various economic benefits, while other may focus on the pleasantness of the work itself, and still other will opt for opportunities for advancement or good relations with their coworkers. So much can be said about motivation factors that it is often hard to put a finger directly on it. In other words, they are motivated at various stages by various factors. But at the end of the day, it is competition that matter.

Carlsbad Cavern Descriptive Essay Essay Example

Carlsbad Cavern Descriptive Essay Essay Example Carlsbad Cavern Descriptive Essay Essay Carlsbad Cavern Descriptive Essay Essay Carlsbad Caverns The family trip to Carlsbad Cavern was a fascinating experience. The sights the smells just the overall experience was mind blowing. I don’t think I will ever experience such an amazing summer! The overall size caverns were mind boggling. Whenever we first got there we all got into a huge elevator and descended some 15 stories into the Earth. The moment you walk into these caves it feels as if you just left earth and stepped on another planet. As we were walking with our tour guide he was describing some parts of the cavern roof was over a football field in the air. In some of the deeper parts of the caves there were these gigantic columns that would put any man made structure to shame! The air of the caverns felt almost as if you were in the forests of the Amazon; the air was thick and sticky. You could tell that the air had a ton of moisture in it. Being down there you had to really watch your step, because the ground and the rocks were covered in a thick residue of a gooey substance. It was reminded me of walking on an ice rink. Being down there introduced my nose to so many different smells that I had never experienced in my life. The smell of guano was definitely one of them smells. Guano covered everything, because of the millions of bats that hung from the ceiling. Guano had a very sharp, penetrating smell. Guano smells almost of rotten fruit. Besides the guano the caverns were covered in an odor of old was there. The smell you get from an unopened book is what it reminded me of. Above everything the sounds of the caverns is what really astonished me. Imagine millions of little wings flapping right above your head and you can never pin point the sound or tell how close any of them are. Along with the bats there was a huge river that cut through the center of the caves that are constantly cutting deeper into the Earth. Out of all the natural sounds of the caves the loudest were defiantly the hundreds if not thousands of people oohing, awing, and snapping pictures. Hundreds of families yelling at their kids and squeezing on to winding stair cases and walking miles was definitely a trip onto itself! To this day I still thank my parents for an amazing summer trip that I will never forget. One day I plan on taking my wife and kids on a trip just like that one hopefully they have an experience like I had. If ever in the Land of Enchantment the Carlsbad Caverns are a must see. You will not be disappointed!
